Want to be? Yes please. Unfortunately, I'm not gay. I tried, it didn't work, but that's a pretty boring story.

You also didn't live in a place where everyone hates straight people except you, so when you were younger, you thought that meant you must be straight, but then, after kissing someone and feeling absolutely nothing other than awkward, you realized you were just tolerant.

Life is much more fun now that I accept it.

It's not like being gay was acceptable or talked about when I was growing up. So I didn't know much. I heard kids pick on a kid for being gay. I had no idea what that word meant and this was middle school. I looked it up and I was like "I think that's me. Why do they hate that kid?" All the boys talked about girls and all the girls talked about boys. So I guess I didn't know what I was was ok. Didn't help when I was in high school I got death threats for starting our GSA. Put up posters, they were defaced and got those threats sent to me online. Told someone at school and the schools reaction was basically "Kids will be kids." I'd say I hope kids today have it better and they do in some aspects but they still get bullied and see politicians talk about how awful their lifestyle is and how everyone must be protected from it.

No, I understand. That was just my way of telling my story of why I thought I was gay at one point. I'd always seen nothing wrong with being gay and growing up in the south, that wasn't a popular opinion. So, I figured if I thought there was nothing wrong with it, I must be gay, so I kissed a friend of mine who was gay. Turns out, I wasn't gay. Absolutely no tickle in my pickle.

I keep misunderstanding what you mean. My first kiss was great. I had been hanging out at his house and I was getting ready to leave. He hands me my jacket and I take it but he doesn't let go. I look up at him and he leans in and kisses me. No matter how terrible any other relationship or experience was, at least I'll always have a good first kiss.

We kept talking and planned a date but then he canceled the night before. He said he'd reschedule but never did.
