I like the premise of Saw, but not the execution. And when the girl was in the pig mask at the end of the second one (at least I think it was the second one), I burst out into laughter, which I doubt is what they were going for. Though, in its defense, I only saw those two.

Same. Certainly some of the films more than others. Saw 5's ending was the best. That one is awesome.. I also had a slight crush on Megan Good and I like Julie Benz because of Angel and Dexter.

I thought they were highly creative and probably the best modern franchise, but something just felt lacking to me. Way better than Hostel, that's for sure.

Eh, not worth your time really... Hostel basically is just torture porn, whereas Saw has a lot of complexity and physiological elements.

He produced 3 episodes and directed 1 of Hemlock Grove and I love that show. Other than that I think I may have seen Cabin Fever but nothing more than that.

I watched the first episode of Hemlock Grove and I was done. I know a lot of people who love it, though. Cabin Fever was better than Hostel, but still pretty awful. It was every cliché, but not done with humor or as an homage. And it was filled with over-the-top gore that served no purpose other than as an attempt to make people gasp. Eli Roth is a guy who really needs to learn that nothing shown can be scarier than what the audience can imagine. It's far more unsettling to imagine it happening than seeing it happen. It's why everyone remembers the ending to Se7en.

It should be considered a federal offense to be 18 without seeing that movie.

I've never completed a story that I've started. But a single piece of writing, probably one of my WFWF RPs.
